Enchante Company Limited

Tanzania Customs Clearance Done Right.

Customs clearance in Tanzania involves multiple regulatory bodies, strict documentation requirements, and a system — TANCIS — that demands accuracy at every stage. A single error in a declaration can delay your cargo for days, trigger a physical examination, or result in costly penalties.

At Enchante, we eliminate that risk. Our licensed clearing agents have processed thousands of declarations across all cargo categories — commercial goods, industrial equipment, food and agriculture, pharmaceuticals, vehicles, and personal effects. We know the Tanzania Revenue Authority system inside out, and we work proactively to keep your cargo moving.

Everything Covered, Nothing Missed.

East African logistics is complex — multiple regulatory bodies, corridor politics, infrastructure variability, and constant system updates. Enchantée is built by people who understand this environment from the inside.

TANCIS Declaration Filing
We prepare and lodge your import or export declaration directly through the Tanzania Customs Integrated System (TANCIS). Every field is verified for accuracy — commodity codes, valuation, weight, and quantity — before submission to avoid rejection or amendment requests from customs officers.
Correct HS code classification is the foundation of accurate duty calculation. Our team classifies your goods under the East African Community Common External Tariff, computes import duty, VAT, excise duty where applicable, and any other levies — giving you a clear, accurate duty estimate before your cargo even arrives.

When customs selects a consignment for physical examination, our agents are on the ground at the port to represent you. We coordinate inspection scheduling, prepare examination documentation, and liaise directly with TRA officers to ensure the process is smooth and fast.
Once duties are paid and customs approves release, we obtain the official release order from Tanzania Revenue Authority and coordinate with Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) for container or cargo handover. We manage this process actively — not passively — to minimise port demurrage.

Before your cargo arrives, we review all your shipping documents — bill of lading, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and permits — and flag any discrepancies that could cause delays at the border. Prevention is always faster than correction.
Certain goods require special permits or licenses before they can be cleared — food products, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, electronics, and agricultural goods among them. We identify permit requirements early and coordinate with the relevant government agencies on your behalf.
